魔法门之英雄无敌3：完整版

My judgement might be slightly skewered by nostalgia, but this simply has to be one of the best games i have played in my entire life. Charming design, *great* music, interesting castles, spells and maps, "practically" endless replayability and good flow both in combat and outside. Graphics might seem a little dated today, but it was simply THE best for its time, and is still fun to revisit today. If you haven't played this beforehand, it will (happens to all games) probably seem old, but if you decide to sink a couple of hours into it you will feel rewarded that you did.

If a game from more than two decades ago manages to captivate me for 5+ hours at a time, it speaks for itself.

I'm someone who only got into the Heroes series over a decade after New World Computing went bankrupt, so I'm not speaking from nostalgia when I call this my favorite strategy game ever. The gameplay is easy to learn but hard to master and just never gets old for me. The art and music aged better than most newer games, though I do prefer HoMM2's soundtrack. The only problem is finding enough time to play the vast number of maps out there. Overall I'd rate this a timeless classic.

This game is like the RTS version of mario kart. Its great to play with your friends but they might not be your friends after if they're on the other team.

This is what "old school gaming" is all about. For me, this is the game that familiarized me with the "just one more turn" syndrome. A+
