We have added the German version of Heroes of Might and Magic 2: Gold. A big "Thank you!" goes out to Rungen for the German version of the game.
The DOS Music selector patch has been incorporated into the main installers for all three languages. After updating via GOG Galaxy or installing from the offline GOG installers, you will see a "Music selector" item in your Start menu just under the shortcut for the main game.
The Windows version of the patch remains the same.
I still remember the day that I first played this game, and it has been a long time since i have had to chance to get my hands on it again. This was really my intro to TBS games and it still is one of my favorites. Compared to the other HOMM games (and i have played all of them) i really like the way that each faction is layed out. Their aren't too many units that are useless and each faction has its own unique feel. I think everyone should get this game period.
Ahh. HoMM2 was probably THE game in my town, and as I remember it, then we were mostly playing this in our entire youth - Hot seating of course. And I will not lie. This game only reminds me of positive things, and never has an game utterly comsumed me like this did.
I can proudly say that I am a HoMM2 addict :P

Lots of people pretend Heroes III is even better, more polished, more balanced. While these can be true to some extent, the atmosphere, music, and overall enjoyment from this one simply crush what the third one has to offer.
