Heroes of Might and Magic®

I mainly played this for the historical reference of HOMM2/3 I played those two with my friend back in the day. I found this on a hell a good sale and picked up the whole series for 20 bucks or something (Thank you GoG.) Its a good playthrough and a bit tough if you don't know, or forgot how to play. Some units are absolute trash, while others are gods (almost litirally). Its all turn based so its great if you got kids or other responsibilitys. Music and SFX are great, no voice acting but you don't need it. Theres very slightly branching story (but thats REALLY streaching it) if you play as other lords. But for the most part, you will play nearly every map as a different lord, just in different starting positions. (Personally, I like Lord Slayer) If you find it on a sale, its a great buy.

HoM&M shouldn't need any introduction : as one of the most influential saga of turn - strategy game of all time that really loved a marked in the industry. But for those who don't know : In this game, you ll hunt the map with various unit called ''heroes'' and try to take as much resources as possible in order to invade other cities and defeat your opponents. What truly have taken me is the variety of things to ''do'' in the map and various options to play the game. However, the gameplay and fantasy settings of the saga that started the whole saga were a little ''rough'' around the edges that this game show in comparison to the other most recent entry of the franchise. Still, it is completely worth it to check it out even if you are not a fan of the saga but just approached for the first time : just remember to never leave your town unguarded!

This review is coming from someone who has never played a single Heroes of Might and Magic game prior to this entry. I bought it along with the original Might and Magic games (1 - 8), which I had also never played before. I found them so enjoyable, I decided I'd do the same thing with the Heroes series. I figured I'd have to skip the first one, as the original Might and Magic was a bit painful to get through. I was wrong. I have had an absolute blast playing the original Heros of Might and Magic. It's been incredibly addictive, and I couldn't get enough of it. I played through the entire campaign as Ironfist, then played through half of the Warlock campaign purely to play the one level I didn't get a chance to play in Ironfist (You can only play 8 of the 9 missions, one will always be locked depending on the faction you play as.) I imagine most people reading this will know what this game is about. You start with a small force, gradually building up armies and cities until you become a force to be reckoned with. The game's title is incredibly accurate. Powerful heroes can buff armies to ludicrous degrees, making even lower level minions into killing machines. On the other hand, a great wizard can use spells to devastate the enemy, with blind and paralysis being my personal favorites. Some spells are almost broken in how strong they are. I find that the levels never play the same way. There are always three other factions working against you, and you never know just what they're going to do. Sometimes they ignore you and go for each other. Sometimes you just have to deal with one at a time. Other times, it feels like they are obsessed with you and you alone. I couldn't put the game down. Every time I needed to quit, I'd tell myself "Just one more turn." Then I'd do it again. And again. ANd again. It's a simple game. I enjoyed it immensely. I can't wait to see what the sequels have in store. I'll get to see how the games evolved, too!

英雄无敌系列的开篇，一个伟大系列的开始。从来没有一个系列在我的人生中留下如此多的感受和回忆。 英雄无敌1奠定了整个系列的基础，这是一个近乎完美的地基，你会在系列的续作中发现很多为人称颂的设计都是在1代的基础上不断完善出来。种族，兵种，建设，移动，特技，宝物，这些元素巧妙的结合到一起，玩家可以非常轻松的理解游戏的机制。 1代有一些想法还不成熟，一些设计还有缺陷，对于2021年的玩家，特别是一些年轻玩家来说这个老古董已经落后时代很多了。但是，它可能不像当前游戏那些充斥的感官刺激的设计，却能让一些能静下心体会的玩家感受到游戏里最纯粹最简单的快乐。

It's bring back a lot of fun memories. It's great. Well done in bring it back for the new computers. Other then figuring out who to make the screne a little smaller, for on full screan it's a little pixulated but, by no means, bad. Anyone a fan of this game, I'd fully recummend it and all the other Heroes of Might & Magic games avalible on this site.
