Short, unambitious
The core gameplay here is really just rotating (and sometimes mirroring) pieces of a picture. Once you've finished a picture, you get a few lines of monologue from a character and move on to the next picture. Rinse & repeat for all 20 pictures. And that's it. There's no real story to speak of, no choices to make, nothing that would encourage you to try again and get a better score or outcome -- it really hasn't been gamified in any way. Except maybe achievements, but I saw no such thing in game and the "game features" also doesn't mention achievements. I wonder if Galaxy users would see achievements anyway? The visual art is the main draw of this game, and while it is decent, it is also nothing to write home about. You can expect to see some embarrassing anatomy fails. There's less variety than one might hope; most puzzles are the same as what came before, just with a different outfit. BGM is entirely forgettable (I can't even remember whether the game features more than one track!) and there's no need to talk about the handful of sound effects. Despite the game card claiming audio in ten languages, there is not a single word of recorded speech in this game. The game does feature a linear skill "tree", but all the skills do is help you complete a puzzle faster. They also come with rather pointless visual effects that get in the way and slow you down. It's a shame, because a chill relaxing puzzle game with cute art and good story bits, challenges, a sense of progression, some character interaction with branching outcomes and replayability would certainly be my cup of tea. It is tempting to rate it lower than three stars, but the 1-2 hours it took me to complete all the puzzles were enjoyable enough. There's nothing wrong with the core gameplay per se, it's just that there's plenty of unrealized potential and ways to grow. For the price of a coffee, you get about as much entertainment -- if you find rotating puzzle pieces to be entertaining.
