A Beauitiful and Wonderful Experience

This is game something else! I've never played another game like this before - it is definately one of the most original games that I've played for the last few years and adding mental health into the game definately added to it and made it more interesting. Though if I were to give the developers any recommendations or improvements, I would say that this game needs to have more enemy variety. It got somewhat dull at points killing the same thing over and over again, but sometimes with different skins. The bosses were great however! With that said it may not be something that you play again after you complete the game, but you may think about the game from time to time. I definately won't forget this game! Overall, I'm glad I purchased this game when it came out and I would get it again in a heartbeat!

A work of art

It felt like playing a work of art, not a video game. Truly amazing. I loved the beautiful graphics, the rich tapestry of Norse mythology, and the absolutely terrifying depictions of Senua's "Darkness". The voices were particularly amazing - at times, they were welcome company; at others, they were downright terrifying. They also gave me bad advice, good advice, comforted me, mocked me. Truly amazing. I've never played anything like it. I would recommend this game to anyone. 10/10

A storytelling masterpiece

Not much to say, this game is incredible. It has a moving and outstanding story, inside a beautifully crafted world shown through incredible graphics with the most expressive character I've ever seen in a videogame. The combat is actually adrenaline rushing but is not the main point of the game at all. Play this game expecting a journey with puzzles and combat in between, the main star here though is the character.

A heartfelt story

A amazing journey and deep and heartfelt story. It very successfully makes you feel invested and immersed in Senua's Mind. Don't have much to criticise about the game, it plays well and as a good balance of combat and noncombat and it very good at transferring the Senua's moods, fears and panic as well as the redemption and relief Combat is very well paced, and the perma-death is very effective method to incite fear and encourages you to move forward, but not be reckless Puzzles are very well designed and intuitive enough to not cause frustration. Boss fights, felt strong and overwhelming and give a good sense of accomplishment every time you slay them. The Theme of Psychosis and the game mechanics around it are very well implemented and help immersion On a Final and Personal Note, this game provided a good source of inspiration and research both on Mental Wealth but in Norse Mythology

It's alright

The game looks and sounds great, and the themes are really interesting, the plot is intriguing and the story engaging. By the end of it, I had felt all sorts of things with Senua, from rage to grief, and maybe even a little joy. The way the game approaches mental illness isn't pitch-perfect. Rather than accepting mental illness as an illness, it at least seemingly takes the stance that psychosis is just another beautiful thing, a different way of seeing the world. Maybe I've misinterpreted the game, but that's what I got out of it. That said, the game does pin the blame correctly on the people who stigmatize and torment the mentally ill, and that is one of the most engaging things in the game. The combat system is good enough for my needs - it is really simple, but there's depth to it regardless, and enough depth for at least my own playthrough to have not delved right to the bottom of it, I kept being surprised by different attack combinations right through the final scenes.
