Still the best
With the expansions as a complete game, this is the best sim there is. Maybe not that flashiest, or most polished, but HOI4 has been out for over 5 years and they're still changing the core rules with every major expansion. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Hearts of Iron III
This is a complete strategy game and need to use real world tatctics to be successful. The game can be difficult for new players and does involve some micro management when playing some of the larger nations.

Great grand strategy game
I love this game. Played a lot of EU4 beofre grabbing this. It's really fun to organize divisions and draw attack plans and then execute them.

The best of the series
I loved HOI and played the series right up to HOI 4. HOI 4 gets real high reviews on Steam but the game has horrible interface, totally unrealistic composition of divisions and a general mess that deos not replicate any history. HOI 3 has realitic division contruction, organizational heireichy, politics and warfare. I did not have any problems running the game om W10. HOI 2 also has many mods including sprites and complete chnages to the game making it replayable as I am about to do for the 3rd time. Skip 4 play 3.

Best in the series.
Younger players wont understand what it was like trying to play a game like this before computers, we used dice and a ping pong table. This game isn't ment to be finnished in a day or so, it's pure micro management. Take your time, adjust the little things the game offers. I personally play with the speed on S-L-O-W, watching the days go by. If you want Axis+Allies go play Hearts of Iron 4. Also, for those of you who want MORE and BETTER!!! Grab the Black Ice Mod.
