cute,calming time waster

this is a lovely game, the grahics are simple but work for the theme. gameplay consists of gathering ore, wood, metal, coins, cloth and mushrooms in order to pay for park upgrades. along the way there are things to fix which also require those items. you can buy a trader hut and from there buy and sell as you please. there are quests, puzzles to do, npcs to talk to and lots of areas to explore. i have finished the game at 8 hrs, most of it just tootling around looking for the last 2% item to fix which i cant find. lol i had skills maxed around 4 hrs. so its a short game. im hoping the devs will add more content. there is. a nice sound track, very mild and appropriate. you can decorate, in fact decorating is mandatory to advancement. some cons are blind spots, lack of detail of what you are expected to do next, some game crashes. the keyboard layout is awkward with no mouse input. you steer by wasd and i remapped use a different key as it all was too clumpled for easy access. decorating was constrained by tight areas to build on. its just cute, children will love it. you can ride a hot air balloon, ride a tram, swim and generally idle away an afternoon

Good game

This game is a good stress-free time killer. Graphics are pleasant and soundtrack suits the game. The only shortcoming I found in this game was that the map was missing variety. There are only a few difference between the locations which makes the game boring a little fast. But on the positive side, the game isn't pretentious and it does not try to be something it isn't. It has its heart in right place.

It's all right...

This game looks a lot like a copy of A Short Hike, which is a great game. This isn't too bad, but I can't really bring myself to give it some thunderous applause or anything. There are quite a few bugs. Sometimes the game will randomly shut down on you, or the 'notebook' will stop moving. There are typos as well. 'Can not' is always spelt as two words, there's a strange lack of contractions, and some dialogue doesn't make sense. I think some of it might have been translated from a foreign language. The game is pretty repetitive as well. Pick up resources, build buildings, fix broken thingamajigs, talk to characters. The map annoys me too. It doesn't show your position on the map, only the 'camps' you've already found, and if you go into the mine and look at the map, it will show you this silly text 'There are no camps in the mine'. At least some of it's amusing... My one biggest complaint is the shortness. If you want the option of longer play or speedruns, I recommend A Short Hike, but in this, to complete the game takes about 3 hours if you're careful (I've managed to beat it in an evening), and they've missed the opportunity to turn some elements of the game into side quests. But it's not all bad. The graphics are half-decent, the exploration element is nice, and all in all it's very calm. So there you have it. An OK game for fans of Walking Simulator-type games, but if you want the real deal, I'd recommend A Short Hike over this.

A beautiful little exploration game

Really enjoyable game, reminding of A Short Hike, with a very friendly atmosphere. Mainly exploration and gathering of resources, a bit of building, you can talk with your campers and get different tasks you can choose to complete. Everything goes at the pace you choose, very relaxing gameplay.

Good non violent game

A very light on story game, but still has some. I won't say much about that as I don't want to spoil anything. I had an idea what I was getting into (story) and that wasn't letting me to fully relax and enjoy the very relaxing gameplay. You are more or less in control of your huge park and you actively go out and explore this park/island, find resources and then repair items (bridges, lampposts etc. ) while also finding campsites (only way to unhide the overall map) and upgrading them with campfires (make sure to light them), benches etc etc. There are some tourists you can have short interaction with and there are even a couple of mini stories/quests to do. I know people say you can finish it in a couple of hours and perhaps you can if you have played the game before and you know what you are into, but it took me about five hours to complete it and I didn't do many of the tiny little quests available. Not the first time it is taking me far more time to finish a game than what people in reviews or how long to beat claim, but I have long decided they are full of it so take that as you wish. Is the game worth playing? Gameplay is simple and a small child or someone who is new to games should be able to play it after a while. If you are a heavy gamer, like I am who plays games since the early 80s, there isn't much to see here, but still is worth playing if you want something simple and non violent. Presentation wise, it has some cool music pieces here and there, good sound effects and background noise, and the graphics are quite gorgeous as long as you are fine with the art style. I experienced only one puzzle in the game which as soon as you figure out what you are supposed to do to get hints, isn't really difficult. There is one more thing I want to say and I usually don't say these things as I hate spoilers. So if you don't want a major spoiler, stop reading here. = = = = = = = = The ending has something to do with loss/death. Well done, yes.
