Welcome to Harvest. It's a quiet little town with eccentric locals and traditional family values. Life moves at a slower pace in quiet Harvest without the hustle and bustle like you'd get in the big city. Don't forget to attend the annual PTA Bake Sale and keep in mind that the blood drive is mandatory.

Harvester is one of the most controversial horror games of its time with a classic point-and-click interface and tons of interesting puzzles. You'll play as the amnesiac Steve (who is such a kidder!) as you try to figure out why you should join the Order of the Harvest Moon and discover the horror that lurks just beneath Harvest's small-town veneer. Meet some of the strangest characters to ever grace the computer screen--such as Mr. Pottsdam who really, really loves red meat or Colonel Monroe who guards the nuclear missile base and holds The Button. Harvest is a lovely town and the locals aim to keep it that way, no matter the cost...

A classic...

This is a real classic of adventure games. Full of gore and dark settings, but also humor, the game recreates a very unique 50s, Cold War feeling. There is some pixel hunt that ruins the fun (I had to check a walkthrough guide multiple times to find out I had miss some small pixelated detailed to click on), but overall very enjoyable.

Since I was a kidder

>as a kid I read about Harvester in gaming magazines. Got spooped because they said it was BRUTAL and it had the GORIEST SCENES ever. >as a late teen/young adult "Haha, acting silly!" >as a mature kidder (now) The Twin Peaks of adventure games crossed with Natural Born Kidders [sic]. Kino & a MUST HAVE for everyone in their collection.

gore and comedy -- gallery galore.

im not sure why this game appeared to me in 96/97 and how i was able to play it back then... maybe i was part of the experiement? maybe my location in the world gave me the opportunity to experience the horror of this world in a new visual style... nightdive (steam) appears to have borrowed or gotten permission from a gog user to patch the game which fixes the broken cutscenes. cutscenes are broken in dosbox due to the cpu speed. several scenes were coded badly for the FMV, this is fixed and now playable as it was on original 1996 hardware.

Sickness. Horror. Art

A kind of twin game to "Dark Seed 2", that reflects on the many kinds of horror of gothic north america. Lots of surrealism, some not-so-good mechanics, but a memorable game and a wonderful unique experience.
