Slavjank Truckin'.
I mean that title mostly affectionately. Hard Truck 2: King of the Road is an improved version of Hard Truck 2. Mostly. I don't think the portraits/voice acting added much to the game. I also recall liking the (truck) company logos in HT2 OG. This game doesn't have a story. You are TruckPerson, and you wish to have trucking empire in Fictional but Definitely Rus' Area. Now, you can solo the game, but it's much easier and far saner to hire at least an extra person on to thin the herd. To do that, you need to participate in an annual race that takes place in a circuit track just lower left of the map. Winning the race comes with a cash prize, but more importantly, a license to hire, which expires after a short while. So you need to rush out, and find a parking space that has someone for hire (that you can afford)! This is where the game gets a little complicated. Police are dotted about in strategic points, and they don't like you doing 120 in a 30 area. This and the occasional hiding of contraband in cargo will make it wise to invest in some equipment in service stops. Okay, now the jank. If your truck touches water deeper than your tyres, Instant Game Over. Trailers can be incredibly fiddly to attach and keep attached to your vehicle. The weather effects are all stock effects and run in a cycle. Nights can be incredibly dark and long. There's hidden cargo and "discount" trucks that will attract not only the police, but also "other interested parties". And that's not counting the folly of your truck falling over. Hope you don't mind spending nearly 1000 LCUs to get back on the road! ...But honestly, it's kinda fun. It doesn't have enough SIM parts to it to be annoying, so it's refreshingly arcade at times.
