RNG fiesta, unbalanced mess. Don't be fooled, this game is not launch ready come back in 6 months, wasted my time with the beta. Stick to Thronebreaker which is actually entertaining.
CDPR have dropped an absolute clanger. Thronebreaker, fine, I get commercialisation is important. But don't mix the two, they are chalk and cheese, oil and water, they are not the same thing and don't go together. To completely destroy a brilliant online card game in favour of a low-grade single player release is incredibly naive, ill-conceived and ultimately will cost you a lot of money.
You could have used the endless amount of feedback to re-work REAL Gwent, improved the graphics and balanced it, brought out some new factions but kept much of the fundamentals the same. Then you could have easily charged $5 - $10 less than Artifact - and made a lot of money. I'd have bought it, but i'm so disappointed with what you've done I won't be paying for Thronebreaker!!
Like many reviewers, I won't post the obscenely lengthy number of problems with it, and instead just say that to throw away so much beta testing in favour of this profanity is just plain disrespectful.
I'm so sad that I don't love this game anymore, I wish I could, I wish so mush. So many great and fun game mechanics removed/replaced with boring ones. I'm still glad I played it when it was at his best in beta. Would love to hear the reasoning of the people whom made those decisions. How much time they played their game and how wrong they could understand their community. How could they removed so much fun from the game in one single update, thinking it was fine, blows my mind. I'll check the updates but I have like no hope the game will improve in the direction I used to like it. So sad.
