Most fun I had in a While
I've never got hooked to a card game like this one. Art style, abilities, music... everything is very well designed and addictive in a nice way. Knowing The Witcher world adds a lot to the emersion as well. I'm also gratefull for making the progession carries over between PC and Mobile, it's just easier to build a single strong profile.

Its no Pazaak. Its a wannabe Hearthstone
Literally no one plays this cash grab. It tries way too hard to be both Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone while barely scraping the story of the main games for all of its units.

I would give it 0* if I could.
Here is a brief history of Gwent, to show you how they have treated the game. The players begged for Gwent standalone - CDPR ignored us. We begged harder - CDPR found a method to monetize it beyond a simple sale. CDPR made mistakes on patches - We gave feedback, did they listen? No. CDPR made mistakes on patches - We gave more feedback, did they listen? No. CDPR announced they would enter the E-Sports scene way too early. We told them it was too early, we asked for the game to be finished first, did they listen? No. They could make money. CDPR fucked the game up entirely by trying to make the game easier for a wider, more casual audience, and so it would be easier to watch - players left, pro's left. The 'E-sport scene' dwindled. CDPR refused to admit fault and fucked up once more. CDPR announce homecoming, they factually state that they have acknowledged our disappointment, they have seen that they have gone wrong and intend to bring the game back to what Gwent was originally designed to be, the 'original vision'. people grow cautiously optimistic CDPR announce Thronebreaker - excitement grows. CDPR show a completely different game that isn't even reminiscent of OG gwent and tell us that they will have an open beta, where they will listen to our 'much needed' feedback - Hopes are crushed. The CDPR releases the beta anyway - massive feedback is heard still. CDPR releases the new game and yet it is STILL BROKEN and have STILL NOT LISTENED TO FEEDBACK. How is any of this indicative of an excellent production cycle? Mistakes are always made, sure, but the successful ones learn from them. They don't keep shitting on their supporters. This entire game has been a sham that went against everything CDPR supposedly stood for. I won't be purchasing Thronebreaker, as much as I was looking forward to it. Because I don't appreciate fuckery. I have refused to spend a penny on the game for a year now, and right now neither I nor my friends can even be bothered to play
