Months after the final release, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is still going strong. The minigame-turned-esport continually goes through iterations and patches, shedding skins and morphing into a real beast of a card game. It has a wistful past, a solid present, and a bright future.

Fantastic Game
I play Magic: The Gathering frequently and have had a lot of fun playing this game. I like trying out a lot of new card games because Magic isn't the only one out there. This one is simple, in that you only have to learn card mechanics. There is no combat in the card game to speak of. Fantastic game, great design, and it started as a side-game in their main game.

Spend money and hours, but not on this
Homecoming changed the game that was nearly 2 years in development into something that is literally unplayable. Damage boost damage boost this game literally lacks any depth it had in beta. Given (probably) better card game just came out, and no infos coming from dev team about updates in Gwent, I predict this game will soon start dying (I mean EVEN faster than it is now).

This game is not DRM-free
A permanent online connection must be available. GOG client/launcher Galaxy must be running. Otherwise you won’t be able to access the game in the first place.
