The game the first one should have been
The developers fixed everything that was bad about the first game, so now we have: - Free aiming - Dodge roll - Larger field of view - Slightly faster reload - Possibility to hit enemies outside of field of view - Awesome boss fights - More and diverse enemy mechanics -... The list could go on. It was a tremendously fun ride and earned no less than five stars.

Short but tons of fun
The game is so fun, while the first was about placement the second is more strategic stuff, you can aim freely, the verticality is important and there's a ton of weapon, the ennemy you face are the nazis, the story is cliché but the narration is good, the artistic direction is still a blast like a comic book you can do it on local coop and online an hidden gem

Short fun
I bought this on Steam and while it is short (according to Steam I played 7.2 hours) I still loved the time I had. I even cared enough about it to finish all the achievements, something that I have done very rarely. The art is just amazing and the game feels amazing to play.

An improvement, but still has issues
This is definitely an improvement over the first game. It controls much better (multidirectional aiming, better jumping controls, a dodge roll), the boss fights are better, the enemy variety is greater, and a few other small things here and there. However, you still don't have any invincibility frames when you get hit, and this becomes a much bigger issue in later levels when it really feels like a 2D hoard shooter. In fact, during most of the later levels, my buddy and I would just forgo fighting the waives of enemies and just keep moving forward since it just wasn't worth killing all the enemies (plus, the later levels all had various death traps that would kill the enemies anyway). So yeah, there's more room for improvement.
