One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award upon its original launch. Grim Fandango still stands as a classic of the genre, with unforgettable characters and unique combination of film noir and Mexican folklore.
Grim Fandango Remastered includes:
Repainted, hi-res character textures
New, dynamic lighting
Classic score re-recorded with a full live orchestra
The writing is wonderful, the puzzles are interesting and the locations you visit are beautiful.
This is a game worth playing for just about anyone who cares more for writing and art direction than graphics and action.
Highly recommended!
when i play the game , i had some issues with mouse when i click on stuff, but minor .. but when i exited the building just after starting the game and talked to the guy who make balloon animals , as i take one from him .. the game freezes , the laptop freezes with a staggering sharp contentious noise .... i bought this game before from steam which turned out to be a big mistake since the game crashed on running .. but i thought GOG would be a more reliable source and that they respect their clients enough to check the games before putting them for sale ... this is shameful at the least
I first encountered this game at my neighbors place after school. This guy is a huge computer nerd and one of my biggest influences for gaming and all cool things (he showed me the LOTR Appendices and the Council of Elrond and MTV Easter Eggs). This was one of the PC games he showed me all those years ago. It's a tough game for me, I had to keep asking him for help. I didn't get to finish the game and it's been sitting in the back of my mind since. I admit this game has me stumped around pretty much every corner, even now I'd still be stuck in places without a guide. It's a true brain-teaser with a plot thicker than tar and the voice acting is top notch just like the soundtrack.
