Absolutely delicious

Never played Diablo 3, but I bet this is a good option, I decided to go with demolitionist for my first character and I feel I made the right decision, the monsters love to swarm you and throw missiles and aoe at you, so kiting is a necessity, and your best bet is to find a way to do a lot of aoe aswell with some degree of health steal (even 10% is good enough to keep you alive), and maximizing the resistances has a great impact, this game focuses a lot in health regeneration, it expects you to take and dish out insane amounts of damage and that's why you can stack up to 100 healing potions The devotion system is a bit overwhelming, but you can pay to reset your points which is great I'll wait for a discount on the dlc to try them out, now that I have a better understanding of the game I'd love to play as a necromancer ah, and for the love of everything that is dear to you play in veteran mode, normal mode is ridiculously easy

Why i'm so late?)

Played D1-3, Torchlight 1-2, PoE (5 years! =))) and of course Titan Quest. Now GD one of my fav ARPGs as singleplayer game and PoE as MP but i'm tired and waiting for PoE 2.0 =) It was amazing to explore great maps and change builds on the fly!) Highly recommend!

Great single player ARPG experience

I don't have much experience with the ARPG genre, but I've really enjoyed beating this game twice and already have plans for the third walkthrough on a higher difficulty or with a new character. I decided to try the game out after finishing Titan Quest, and hearing that Grim Dawn is virtually its spiritual successor got me sold. The gameplay is simple but capturing, and I found myself playing for hours and hours. "I promise, this will be the last dungeon for today!" I also really like the game's responsiveness which makes it play smoothly even in 2024. Besides Grim Dawn I played Titan Quest and Torchlight, and while I enjoyed them too, Grim Dawn seems to be a more polished experience which makes it more fun for me. Of course, the post apocalyptic atmosphere and soundtrack by SkewSound studio contributed to the game a lot too, making it a memorable adventure.

Great ARPG

Coming from a PoE/Diablo II background, Grim Dawn is a treat that can be played off-line, unlike the former, and is a MUCH smoother experience in 2019 than the latter. Some personal highlights: - Lots of customization. Any two classes per character (each with active and passive skills), a constellation system (passives and “trigger on x” skills) and items that also grant (sometimes unique) abilities. - Many quality of life features: Minimap, huge inventory, detailed stat breakdown, quest tracker, no identify or town portal scrolls and even the ability to change your equipment’s appearance so your character doesn’t look like a patchwork doll - wide variety of visually distinct pieces of gear too. - Content packed – 37 hours to finish the non-expansion content (2 HC deaths). - Genuinely grotesque setting\bosses. The history and characters so far didn’t do much for me but at least they aren’t intrusive and sell the premise of the setting well. I also found the font on the written notes to be a tad small. Overall, very enjoyable.

If you like Diablo 2 LOD madly and if you don`t like Diablo 3 so much that you haven`t even bought and the Path of Exile seems a little bit toneless for you, in this case the Grim Dawn is a good option. In addition to good graphics and amazing gameplay you can feel the growing developer skill in comparison to the previous games of this company. At high difficult levels this game is sometimes very hardcore and doesn't forgive mistakes. In my opinion considering the current all DLS is the best game in this genre.
