disappointing
First couple hours normal role-playing game, then impossible boss fight at level four, no possbility to respec and bypass. What a bad design

mayybe 3* - what I remember of this game
it's been really a long time now... I remember that there was a boss fight before leaving the character's home country... and it was frustrating for me, but I got it done... and the only joy I felt was that I could finally play the game again... over the course of the game I got better at these, but not necessarily good.. or maybe I ended up being all right at them but still didn't enjoy them? Once we arrived in port at the new land... I just couldn't decline that stupid drink no matter how much I wanted to... I was reluctantly going along with it as a "don't anger the natives" thing... but still, I would have preferred to get out of that situation without drinking it.. there ought to have been some diplomatic way... or a diplomatic way to calm them again after declining it, at least... it couldn't be done.... I felt annoyed. Then I remember that it was too much hopping from one area to another, especially at a later time... and yes, all the nations look the same. During the story I was going "crazy" about being unable to do something about a certain situation and I saw the end coming and I hated it long before it became evident that I was right... thus I hated what had to be done not just because it had to be done... but because there wasn't even a futile route to try and prevent it or an alternative ending if you could... and then I never touched this game again... the story was good... but it couldn't keep its drive "going"... and.. well, for some things there was a lack of choice...

If you like RPGs, buy this game!
If you liked The Witcher 3, youre gonna love this game. This game gets womens clothes right, no pointless sleeping with prostitutes, no big boobs women that are either topless or showing massive cleavage. There are POC in this game which is something sorely missed in a lot of other games. And your character is bisexual, which means you can romance men and women alike. The love scene is done really well too. Gameplay wise its pretty good with only small blemishes, those i hope will be gone in a sequel if we get one. The VAs are white people voicing POC NPCs which is an issue that i hope Spiders will work on in future games. Overall its very satisfying to play this game. Its fun, its sad, it got intrigue, investigations and betrayals.

do not buy
simply do not buy this game, it does not work on windows 10. after only 5 hrs and some change i was no longer able to launch thru GOG and could not find any work around. Just would give me a black start screen then crash back to desktop no matter what i did.
