Once again it is up to you, the nameless hero, to unite a torn land; Myrtana is not faring well. The peace between men and orcs, already built on shaky foundations, is crumbling to pieces for good. Horrible product

This expansion is quite honestly a synical cash grab from the publishers when the original devs went on to do their own game. Using the leftover unfinished game code they pumped out a cash grab which did not fix any bugs with the vanilla game, messed up the lore of the game and killed off the Gothic franchise for good. The fact that Piranha Bytes is still selling this horrible expansion is baffling, it hurts their reputation as a game developer. Do not buy under and circumstance.

Do not buy this! Buy Gothic 3 instead

If you do not own Gothic 3 and have to decide between Gothic 3 and this standalone expansion go for Gothic 3 and get the community patch for it. This is not created by the developers of Gothic 3 and therefor does it not only feel different in terms of mechanics it is also pretty easy, short and there is no motivation to do sidequests at all. If you are not sure what Gothic to buy get Gothic 2 and/or Gothic 1.

It's a trap!

Forsaken Gods was NOT developed by Piranha Bytes, the studio behind the original Gothic trilogy. It was handled by an obscure studio out of India that didn't really know what they were doing. If you thought unpatched Gothic 3 was riddled with game-breaking bugs, go look up some FG review videos. The final boss itself is a glitch, the game code essentially defeats itself. Do not waste your money on a mistake in gaming history that did not add anything of value to Gothic 3.

Overpriced

I will purchase this only if G3 mod team got half of the money. They could made this piece of code playable - not developer or creators. In other cases 2.99 is fair price for this lid of a coffin for great series.
