Game is 5 Stars...when it's working.
The greatest game in the Gothic series by far. Too bad this version is so unstable. Constantly freezes and crashes my PC (running win 7).

so hard to review this
how do i give a fair review? many people LOVE this game, as for myself i feel like i am fighting with the controls, it just doesn't FEEL RIGHT to me? maybe it's because i am coming from games like OBLIVION and SKYRIM? but i just can't get into this game. if it ever comes to a game console like an xbox or something then i would probably be willing to give it a chance? i don't know what to say, there must be a solid RPG in there somewhere if you have the patience to find it, but i have to find something i like about it so i will say this as a plus....AT LEAST IT STARTS AND RUNS, unlike the first GOTHIC that i could not get to work on 3 different Windows OS, so at least there is that one thing going for it. to the die hard fans of this game i say i am sorry, i am sorry that i could not find whatever bliss you found in this game. controls for me are not the only problem but they are the main problem, feels buggy too. maybe i will revisit this title years from now when i'am in my senior years and give it a second chance?

Cool game. I like the sandbox kinda gameplay. The skill system has me questioning but its still great.
