A very clever and well-crafted game. For me, it really was an immersive and intense experience, full of amazement. The drawings are beautiful. A true piece of art.
For the care and aesthetic design in this game, to think that it was created by a single person is incredible. Everything is lovingly crafted with a distinct and detailed art style. The story is surreal and subtle. Fairy tale-like elements weave a circuitous tale of a boy's progression through life.
The puzzle elements are brilliant and the game does a good job of showing you the basics, while leaving many things for you to discover on your own. The associated difficulty curve is just about perfect. Some of the later puzzles are fairly challenging, but there are ample clues if you are looking out for them.
The game is nearly perfect and was an absolute joy to play. My only criticism is that there isn't quite enough of it. I finished my playthrough in 2 sessions totalling about 2.5 hours. Considering this was a solo dev effort, I certainly understand the brevity. That said, the clever pacing and structure of the story practically beg another playthrough just to pick up on the pieces you missed the first time around. Fantastic game.
not very difficult but a clever puzzle game that twists perspective. Nice art, relaxing ambient music. But very short (< 1 hour) so not a lot of bang for your buck there.
The music and the art style are terrific. The puzzles are challenging but solvable without having to just look up the answers on the internet. The surreal logic makes sense once you wrap your brain around it. One of the best games I've played in months, and possibly the best puzzle game I've ever played.
This was great! Short but truly unique journey through a world of wonder. The art style is beautiful and the mechanics just keep you wanting to explore. The only thing that could be better IMHO is the storytelling - while I loved the fact that it unveils without words, leaving much to your imagination, in the end I felt a bit disappointed by the fact that I wasn't really able to "decipher" what was this all about. It leaves you with nothing but a few hints about the main protagonist and his story, leaving you wondering whether this was his dream, his memories or part both... Still, I'd really recommend this to anyone looking for a non-violent, relaxing pastime (it does hint on some darker themes but it's still mostly kid-friendly).
