Genesis Alpha One is a great indie roguelike that offers a combination of first-person shooter, ship-building and management elements. Building up a ship, of which you can explore and work on every single section, offers a huge sense of scale and personal ownership, especially as you travel the reaches of a dangerous galaxy in the aim for the survival of the human race. You'll task your crew, which you grow in cloning vats, to run different areas of your ship while making sure their needs are met. All of this while going to planets to scavenge resources and, of course, trying to survive against horrible alien creatures that want to do nothing more than breed with your face. Every part of the game is a fine art of balance, though like other roguelikes luck will be a key factor in your survival, which is the biggest downside to the game.

Looked nice but played without fireworks
OK. For me there are too many different angles crammed into a single game effectively making the game a chore. Maybe if it didn't have this walking simulator inside the ship whenever you wanted to do something it would be a more interesting game. But with this chore it quickly lost my attention.

Hidden Gem
This is the great combonation of FPS, RPG, and Strategy. Build your ship, your crew, and die over and over again. Yet, you will want to keep playing.

Good game, but odd controls.
Maybe it's just me, but I have to swap between the keyboard and controller to go through the main menus. It also affects some in game menues like chaing weapons for crew members. Once I got used to that the game is OK, good tutorial, in ship AI tells you how things work. The constant ship infestations is annoying. But at least you can get biomass and DNA out of it.

Fun game "Just one more Hour"
Real easy to get stuck and play just that one more Harvest or Invasion mission. The next thing you know to many hours have passed.. Then you miss one little spider and the next thing you know your ship explodes and you have to start it all over from scratch.
