played these games when they were originally released; amazing is the only word that fits, the depth of personalization and story are only matched by another series by the same writers, Avernum, which I hope will make it to the site soon...

great titles
anything coming from spiderweb software is just amazing and these titles aren't an exception. THIS is the whole reason why i got that 5 games for 10$ in first place, i could care less for the rest 4 games

Review is for 1st game only.
I realize this is a group of 5 games, so 2 stars for the 1st game's story, 1 star because the series surely improved after this one. Great story, lousy execution. Every area seems like you have to plow through it as far as you can, return to a town, heal, recreate creatures, return to said area, rinse, repeat, blah. It's like reading a book that you just want to end. Maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did.

this series is great. now a greater series then this even, is the avernum series by the same creators. much more in depth. but geneforge will do nicely.
