Become a made man as you vie for power in a Chicago-like town during the prohibition era. Gangsters is the strategy game where crime pays--and with dividends! You can don the knuckle dusters and “persuade” the local business owners to pay you for “protection” services. You can get your hands even more dirty and navigate in the cutthroat world of politics. Or simply go for the throat as you order your wiseguys to execute your enemies in the streets and show the city who’s “da boss”. Gangsters gives you all the power you need to get things done.

Played in a vast city filled with over 5,000 individual characters, Gangsters feature real-time action in a highly detailed isometric terrain. The game sports an easy-to use strategy planning interface, to authentically recreate the seedy, violent, and ruthless world of gangland mobsters. Remember, real power is never given, it’s taken!

Does not work properly on Win 8

It was a good and interesting game when I was young. So I thought to try it... But it does not work properly on win 8 so it's better to avoid if they do not fix it.

Windows 10 and playing fine

It's five stars if you love this game. I'm only reviewing this because of all the recent reviews saying it doesn't work on Windows 10 machines. Which is true, when you purchase it, which I agree is kinda messed up. But I googled "playingGangsters: Organized Crime on Windows 10" and found a patch from a modder fixing the problem at the top of the page, along with multiple videos and links showing ways of playing the game in windows 10. (Running Windows 10 on a AMD A10 Radeon R& chip and Radeon RX 460 gpu, so not cutting edge or anything) Took a minute to download and install the patch, and the game started playable. Should we have to look for and find a modder created patch to play a game we just bought? Eh, I'm used to jumping though a few hoops to play 20 plus year old games. It be unacceptable with anything 10 years or newer, but especially at $1.49 sale price, if you want to play this classic game it isn't that much trouble.

Childhood Classic. Didnt work Windows 10

Everything said in the titel. I hope GOG will patch / fix the problem. It is a wonderful game.

Doesn't seem to work at all.

I loved this game as a kid and looked forward to playing it again. Unfortunately doensn't seem to work in windows 10 at all. It just freezes up my pc and I just have to restart. Shame.
