Great game remastered, but some glitches

First of all, thank you! A classic game deserves a little brush-up. And a good brush-up it was. To be specific, I like the Old Mine Road, that really looks great, so much better then in the old game. Yet the game tends to freeze up and crash a lot during the Old Mine Road scenes. And during some other play scenes. I don't know if it's just my computer or some glitches in the game. I would like to help even out these things. But other than that: Ben is back to wheel!

Game does not start

I could not get the game to start. I did a bit of research, and the issue I have does not appear to be an uncommon one. I will try to start the game, screen will go black, I will hear music for a few seconds, and it will stop. Then what appear to be frames will blink onto the screen over and over really slowly. None of the suggested solutions worked. Avoid at all costs.

To short?

A bit short for a lucas game. At least if you compare it to something like Monkey 2 or Grim gandango. but it's cheap and well worth it i completed it in 5hrs pretty much blind. The remaster aspect of it are are good overall the audio and graphics are a near 100% of it how it should look they did not overdo the graphic like they did with monkey 1 and 2 it's near perfect in the pixel art to normal art transistions. audio and music are the same just higher quality. if you like lucas art games just buy it the price is cheap and the game is good.

Fantastic remaster but still too short

For me this game is still one of my all-time favourite old school graphic adventures, next to the likes of Day of the Tentacle and the Monkey Island series. The remaster is nothing short of awesome - the graphics look gorgeous and scale far better than the old version - making them less pixalated and more a game for our time, yet still retains everything that made the original fantastic. The sound is wonderful - voice acting is sublime (thanks to an excellent Roy Conrad, Mark Hamill and their supporting cast). The music is as excellent as ever and as a nice little bonus is accessible to listen to via the ingame jukebox. Unfortunately the one issue I still have with the game is that it's simply too short - especially when compared to some of the more modern adventure games on the market. It might be that since I've play and replayed this game so many times I can complete it in one sitting. It would have been nice to have seen the game extended with a few more challenging puzzles - but really that's my only gripe and it's a minor one. In spite of the game length it's still one of my all time favourites - if you haven't played the original I strongly recommend picking up Full Throttle - it really was Lucas Arts at the peak of their game.

Asphalt & Trouble

I can not be objective about this game. For me, it's a timeless gem. If you are a point and click adventure fan then you have probably played this already, if not, I'd urge you to get it. Double Fine's work is excellent. Since I can not objectively evaluate the game ( I would not dare ) all I can say here is if the game runs smooth or not. Sound & music plays smoothly, no delay no desync. Graphics both new and original look good. The screen size of the original doesn't fit the new screen sizes and paint job of the wider screens at times might look flawed but it's minor, you might not even notice it. Very few hickups in the cut-scenes, other than that everything runs smooth as a whistle. I experienced no crashes, freezes or long loading screens. Other than the above mentioned, it's all asphalt and trouble. You should see it for yourself.
