BEST CITY BUILDER I'VE EVER PLAYED
I've played a lot of city builders but Frostpunk 2 takes the cake for me. I love it as much as i love the first Frostpunk. 11 Bit Studios are absolute legends for making such a great game!

Really fun so far
Overall, I'm loving this game. There are quite a few things different from the first game. I have only one major complaint, and it's the Frostbreaking mechanism - I can't figure out why it's even there, aside from a resource/time suck. But even that isn't enough for me to knock a star off. The graphics are gorgeous, there is more detail than I think I'm ever going to be able to take in entirely, the music is fantastic, and the "easy mode" is challenging, but I can still relax a little. Great for learning the new mechanics. I'll eventually up the difficulty, but keeping it as-is to take it all in. Developers are forgiven for delaying the release. :D

A city builder in a very cool setting.
Only about 8 hours in game for now. A decent city builder in a very cool setting. ;) Not as great as the first one was, abundance of gamplay mechanics, some of which do not make much sense, is distructing from what feels should be the core of the experience. First game is still unique in it's focus and precisons even at places where I dont' agree with it. Also, UE5 is a blurry mess and preformance for now is abysmal. It's playble for a city builder, but 30-40 fps at 2k all-high on 5800X3D + 7900XT is... confusing?

A Sequel Done Right
As someone who truly loved the first game and played through every scenario multiple times on various difficulties I have to say Frostpunk 2 is definitely a step in the right direction. A lot of complaints and "negatives" I see in other reviews are positives for me and seems like they played the game for 5 minutes without understanding it before writing an emotionally charged review. I enjoy the changes because it took the spirit of Frostpunk and expanded upon it with unique flair whilst still maintaining the core gameplay. When I play Frostpunk 2 I feel as though the city is truly in my hands and feel slightly overwhelmed with all of the things I have to manage which is exactly how you should feel when playing this game. There is an enormous amount of strategic depth from resource, faction, and city management. The game is gritty, difficult, and requires a lot of brain power which made me fall in love with it. The game is very much a city builder, information is very easy to access if you read, the game feels finished, and goes a long way to immerse the player whilst keeping things fresh with all of the developing and on-going in game narratives. Overall this is a great game and I thoroughly enjoy the obvious care and effort put into it.

Great game
Great game, mechanincs are improved since the first one and the focus of the game swift from the building to the managing of resources and laws. Graphics are beautiful. The only problem, its that it chrashes a lot when alt+tab.
