In a future where the Earth can no longer support its ever-increasing population, pioneers have established colonies on countless new worlds. The fortunate ones have prospered and thrived, mining the precious ores and minerals that they found there, and the unfortunate have succumbed to the ravages of deep space.
In the year 2496, you are appointed Colony Director for Tetracorp and it is your job to build a thriving colony while defending it from 6 alien species. Fragile Allegiance offers a fast-paced RTS where you can buy blueprints, hunt for asteroids to mine, or even build an Asteroid Engine and use it against an opponent who’s been a thorn in your side! If you favor a more underhanded approach to furthering your goals, you can deploy Spy Satellites and Sabotage Agents to thoroughly undermine your enemies. Once you expand beyond the scope of one colony, you can appoint Colony Managers to take care of the more minor details of running and maintaining your colony.
Remember, life is fragile; the future is in your hands!

A remake of an Amiga classic...Why?
A remake of the Amiga classic K240. Question is: why fix things that aren't broken? Loved K240 on my good old Amiga, sometimes still play it in WinUAE. Frankly, I hated this game back then, when it came out. Loved the vulnerable asteroids in K240- if you ever played K240, you know what a Mega Missile was, right? You feared a Mega Missile. When you got hit by it, it really hurted you- on the other hand if you managed to make one, you were able to inflict a lot of pain by it to your enemy, even if it was only an AI. I can't remember if there was a virus missile in FA or not, in K240 if you got hit by it, it was a pain too. If I'm not mistaking, those planets instead of asteroids in Fragile Allegiance are non-destructible-I don't really understand why did they change asteroids to planets. There were a lot of new-at least in my opinion- totally unnecessary features, can't even remember what they were, but weren't that interesting. The Amiga version was flawed but so enjoyable- this one looks much more ambitious...not bad, but falls short of the original K240 experience.

Question...
If purchased, do you have to run DOS to play? Do you use digitdrop box? Do you have to mount it and all that jazz? Also is there a trick to making drop box full screen? Any help would be awesome thanks! Wish this game cheers BK
