Fear is a old favorite; action, ambience
Fear is an old fav of mine, with good action, good ambience, a mix between doom & silent hill. Weapon feels nice enough for the time and levels are just enough confusing to make you scratch your head a bit. Some scary 'jumpscare' but not too much.

Good for it's time, mediocre now
F.E.A.R has a reputation for being a for being a great shooter even after all of these years. After playing through the game myself I have to say I was severly underwhelmed. The shooting feels punchy at times but isn't consistent through it's run time. Enemies while intelligent are not varied enough to keep the game entertaining even halfway through. The story is... crap.
