F.E.A.R. Platinum

Way ahead of it's time. The enemy AI is more advanced than some modern games.

One of if not the best corridor shooter out there and a stand out in the horror genre. It's unfortunate that Doom 3 is really the only other game that scratches that itch of walking through the dark in cramped buildings full of danger with nothing but a rifle and a flashlight to brave your way. Definetly shows its age but its a beautiful representation of early 2000's FPS with in your face violence, slow-Mo, and bombastic firefights. Totally worth a play, even just to look into a time capsule of a by-gone time.

I remember playing the game for the first time but not finishing even the first level. I was only 10 at the time. The game certainly aged well, though many would argue that the graphics are dated and I agree to some extent. But I don't play games because they look good. I play them for the story and the gameplay. If you are looking for a good horror shooter go play definitely give this a try, you won't be disappointed.

This game shows that doesnt need realism to be fun. No idea why some focus a lot on that, but clearly FEAR shows that what should and always matter is the game being fun. The slowmo, the slowmo screams of the enemies, the doll-like movements post mortum or when being hurt, the fact that you can hurt yourself and the right placed jumpscares....is just hella fun man

Amazing game from the legendary Monolith, who I need to play more games from especially now, holds up really well without any mods/vanilla.
