Suprisingly Very Good!
When I first played the demo of this game back in the day I thought, "well nice graphics but lets see how the game is." This game blew me away. The AI is some of the best I have seen in a game. Even on the tutorial mission you do have to use your brain if you want to get through alive. Great AI and gameplay as well as story. Get this game.

Still looks good after all these years
I bought this game when it first came out. Back then it needed a powerful PC to run it and my graphics card at the time would barley support it. Gaming cards today don't have any problems with this game, but it's amazing how good it still looks after all these years (well, it's actually better looking now since I can run it at higher resolutions). I bought this from gog for my nephew even though I still have the original disc. Gog just makes it so much easier to install with all the latest updates, patches, enhancements etc. already included.

FPS old skool, but definitely AAA.
Far Cry's graphics today arent stunning anymore, but still very pleasant for a 1st / 2nd generation FPS. But what makes Far Cry still outstanding is its exceptional gameplay in single player mode. It is hard, challenging and offers a better AI than 90% of all other FPS released up until today. Very good work.

Not a casual-friendly game
Far Cry® delivers in it's promise: an open world. But that's the only real positive i can think off. The story is shallow and boring. Enemies are precision-snipers throughout the whole game and they'll detect you even when you try to run away for long distances. I find this game to be more frustrating then enjoyable.
