If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.

FOLON is to FO4 what NV is to FO3. A beautifully crafted game, a sight to behold. Walking through Westminster at night is so eerie and atmospheric that it's jaw-dropping. Definitely the fourth best Fallout game.
Fallout: London is an absolute triumph. This ambitious total conversion mod for Fallout 4 delivers a fresh yet familiar experience, proving that the Fallout universe extends far beyond the American wasteland. The team behind this project has poured an incredible amount of love, detail, and creativity into bringing post-apocalyptic Britain to life, and it shows in every aspect of the game.
The world design is stunning, capturing a perfect blend of classic Fallout atmosphere with a uniquely British twist. From crumbling landmarks to eerie underground stations, the attention to detail makes exploring feel fresh and immersive. The factions are well-written and engaging, offering moral complexity and depth that rival even Bethesda's best work.
The writing and voice acting are top-notch, with well-crafted dialogue and memorable characters that fit seamlessly into the Fallout universe. The new weapons, enemies, and environmental storytelling ensure that every playthrough feels rewarding. It’s clear that this mod was made by passionate fans who understand what makes Fallout special.
For anyone looking to experience Fallout in a whole new way, Fallout: London is a must-play. It sets a new standard for what modding communities can achieve and is, without a doubt, one of the greatest mods ever created. If Bethesda ever needed proof that fans can create something on par with an official release, this is it.
A huge world that is so artiscally well designed that it blends in seamlessly with the main game. It's the world of Fallout, with all the heaps of destroyed buildings and unscrappable trash, but, in London. There are opposing factions, companions, and, an arsenal of new and unique items and weapons to keep you enthralled for dozens of hours. A completely genuine and reimagined post-apocalyptic London is open for discovery!
Now, as far as gameplay issues are concerned, I did have some crashes, but, updates did correct them, for the most part. I ended up moving on from the game mid-crisis so I haven't seen the latest patches but, at the end, most, if not all of my issues, had been resolved. Keep in mind that this has been out for a while now and there is plenty of help available, should you run into trouble. I found the main support page immensely helpful.
Bottom line: if you love Fallout, you will enjoy this add-on!
Fallout London is a very entertaining game set in post-apocalypse London built on Fallout 4's system and mechanics.
It is to Fallout 4 what New Vegas is to Fallout 3. That is to say, same base game but with extra flourishes and improvements, such as dialogue that's actually dialogue, and skill checks that can be used, and multiple solutions to a problem. There are cute brit-ified versions of familiar objects such as the ATTA-Boy, as well as new items based on thing such as the ever popular Ion Brew.
For better or worse (mostly worse), the game is built on Fallout 4's rocky foundation, and as such you can expect things such as settlement building and companion quests. However, it also has a lot of flaws that carry over from the main game, such as the absurd choice of dirty water being needed to craft food when you can only produce clean water, the game becoming unplayable after enough playtime (which is where my adventure ended), and the squiffy legendary and leveled-loot system, as well as weird things such as you being unable to make a workbench to improve your gear unless you have gotten to "local leader 2" which is a perk that requires 6 Charisma and so many levels, on top of also needing the relevant skill. Why? But that's, again, a flaw that comes from the base game, not FoLondon's fault. But it is of note.
That all aside, if you enjoy Fallout, and if you like Fallout 4's mechanics, then you'll likely have a jolly good time.
