Circa 790 AD. A small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on. As the chieftain of your clan, let ambition guide your choices in the party-based RPG, Expeditions: Viking. How will history remember you?
As the newly appointed chieftain of a modest Viking clan, you’ll have a village of your very own. But to carve your name into the runestones of history you’ll need great strength, and great wealth to grow your village’s prosperity and renown. While Expeditions: Viking won't be winning any awards for ground-breaking storytelling or innovative gameplay, it's compelling in just the right way that keeps commanding attention throughout. I found it to be a lot of fun, if a little unpolished in places.

More twists and turns than a drift track
This is one of those games that when you think something is going to happen in a certain way it then flips it over on you and twists it till you are not sure who the enemy really is. The plots in this game are deep as in fathom deep and it draws you right in till you just don't want to quit till your eyes won't stay open any more. It is steeped in rich historical settings and shows you insight into how the myths, legends as well as various gods shaped the people of the time. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is that the load times from one area to the next can be long, so long you may think the game has frozen up. So far no crashes or any problem except for the load times. The story and strategy of the game do make up for that shortcoming. This game makes you think and take a hard look at things as you wind your way through your struggles to keep your clan and your lands safe from other Thegns in your home land.

Nice Modern rpg game.
One of the best and accurate Viking game with choices and consequences. And also Non-Lethal. The game run pretty wall and it is cheap, some bugs here and there but easily solved and fixed with patch. You can create your own character with a full list of skill and weapon crafting system. Quests are fun and cool. There is also romance in this game. Plus some voice acting that is very amusing and Nord accent. Game get very hard with further difficulty so not for the faintest of heart. Go and start looting or be peaceful! Skyrim for the Nord!

So Far Big Pile of "Meh"
I haven't played through the whole campaign yet or gotten that far in, but there are some pretty serious issues mechanics wise. There is no ability to do formations and since it runs between turns this means that whoever goes first has a HUGE advantage. And since you're literally leading the party, there's a distinct disadvantage if you aren't set up to be on the front lines (since enemy first combat will likely result in the main character pulverized as 7-9 different enemy characters all take potshots at a character designed to be in the back). The storyline is . . . Decent thus far. It isn't the second coming of Torment (or any other amazing title), but it isn't horrid either. Some of the characters are intriguing, but not absolutely amazing so not character driven either. If you want to give the game a chance it won't scare you off, but if you're expecting it to do most of the heavy lifting of hooking you, whelp, I advise a different title, eg: Tyrant (which was okay, but did manage to hook me). The writing in this game isn't -that- strong. If anything is a real hooking point it might be the quasi-historical nature of the game. I'm not familiar with the Vikings so I can't attest to accuracy, but if it is pretty close then the game might be worthwhile for folks who like games that teach a bit of history. That might be enough to help power you through the beginning of the game (again, okay, but not amazing) if that is your cup of tea. If not, I'm going to have to say it isn't really worth the price tag and might not be worth your time.
