Relaxing
I'm about 2 hours in and enjoying it. The game offers a peaceful and calm atmosphere with an enticing story so far. Plenty of backtracking to find those clues you're sure you remember getting. This isn't a game to rush through, but one you should be willing to hear and read every detail as it adds to both the story and your surroundings. It's a refreshing break from the fast paced games that are all too common anymore.

Slow, interesting and frustrating
I haven't been able to finish the game due to a game breaking bug so I can't really comment on the ending but I have done everything else in the game. Ether One is at heart another walking simulator, where you walk just a tad too slow even while sprinting. But unlike other walking simulators Ether One does have a fair number of puzzles which can be fairly difficult at times. All in all if you enjoy exploration and slightly depressing stories in a slow paced adventure/puzzle/walking simulator, you can't really go wrong with Ether One.

Can't progress because of crashes
This would probably be a 4 or 5-star game for me because it's awesome, but I can't get past the second area because it keeps crashing and doesn't autosave any of my progress. Play at your own risk.

Good but laggy in places
So far, I really like the atmosphere and art style of the game and I look forward to getting further into the story. I love the setting of the game, and the imagination behind it. It does remind me of Myst because of the immersive atmosphere and puzzles, and the non-linear exploration which is encouraged. Unfortunately though, it's quite badly optimised and framerate can drop pretty low. I have a mid-range laptop so it's to be expected, but there's not much I can do about the problem as graphics options are quite limited. So all in all, I'd recommend it for people with a beefy computer, but if you, like me, have a weaker/older machine, then maybe you should sit this one out if lag is an issue for you.

Install the NON-Redux version!
Game is a 4/5 for reasons others have said. Install the original NON-REDUX version from the extras section. DON'T install the redux version as it has a ton of issues. I know its been said before but it really is good advice. I don't think you will be sorry.
