Once again, a pillar of indie games

Escape goat 2 is basically bigger and better then the original ( although I somewhat miss the pixellated graphics of the first). Only in this masterpiece of an indie game you could find puzzle and platform mechanics perfectly refined to perfection, in which a goat, with its mouse friend, goes to save sheeps from certain doom in a magical tower... now if this is not dope, I dunno what it is. Also, something worth of notice are the soundtracks, which give almost a 90' videogame's vibe ( or perhaps it's something that I want to associate them with, I dunno). So, Yes! a big yes right there. both for this game and its predecessor. Kinda of short review, but, after all, so are the life expectations of the mouse you'll be employing (mmmmm not that great as a joke, but still gets the point!)

Good, but soul crushingly hard.

Expected to have casual 2d puzzle plaforming game experience, instead i got super meat boy with puzzle element packed with serect levels. Overall it was a good game, but kinda overwhelming.

Not a sheep in the puzzleplatformer herd

A fantastic game that is a more-than-worthy successor to the original Escape Goat! There are several hats for your goat to wear in-game that diversify the puzzles and allow for far more puzzling elements than just mere platforming (although there is still loads of that). Particularly nice is the addition of "mutators" upon completion/collection of sheep orbs that allow you to approach the puzzles - including some that you may not have been able to originally solve! - in new, potentially game-breaking, ways. It is a nice concession to those of us with bad reflexes, old age, or just mental fragility. I originally got this on Playstation 4, but vastly prefer the GOG version. Because it includes the soundtrack ... the first one was exceptional, and this one is too. Some games neglect the music accompaniment; suffice to say Magical Time Bean thankfully does not!

A wondeful puzzle platformer

A nice step up from the first game, this sequel is a nice visual upgrade both in terms of art style & technical lighting effects as well as more levels. Escape Goat is one of those games where you can switch your brain off a bit and just go into a zen like state of puzzle solving. It's not about super quick reflexes or adrenaline rush gameplay, it's more patiently thinking things out. Each level gives you infinite lives and a quick way to reset, meaning you can take your time (for the most part) and try out different ideas if you can't think of what to do straight off the bat. The levels are smartly designed as well and there's enough variation between each section (which containing 4-5 levels each) that it keeps the gameplay fresh and interesting. Escape Goat 2 is a great, polished puzzle platformer that's worth checking out if you're into the genre or fancy a nice change of pace from other more frantic games.
