Enter the Gungeon is a gunfight dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero and battle your way to the bot¬tom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome Gungeon bosses armed to the teeth. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.
The Gungeon: Enter the Gungeon – a constantly evolving bullet hell fortress that elegantly blends meticulously hand-designed rooms within a procedurally-generated labyrinth bent on destroying all that enter its walls. But beware – the Gungeon responds to even the most modest victory against its sentries and traps by raising the stakes and the challenges found within!
The Cult of the Gundead: The Gungeon isn’t just traps and chasms – calm your nerves and steady your aim as you face down the gun-totting Cult of the Gundead. These disciples of the gun will stop at nothing to put down the heroes in their tracks and employ any tactics necessary to defend their temple.
The Gungeoneers: Choose between one of several unlikely heroes, each burdened by a deep regret and in search of a way to change their past, no matter the cost. Filled with equal parts courage and desperation, these adventurers won’t hesitate to dive across flaming walls, roll through a wall of bullets, or take cover behind whatever is around to make it to their goal alive!

If you're looking for a roguelike twinstick shooter, Enter the Gungeon is one of the best. You'll shoot and dodge roll your way through procedurally-generated levels. Over 200 guns and secret rooms means you'll dive into the Gungeon again and again. It's not the most most innovative roguelike, but what it does, it does well.

Triggering Difficulty But Loads of Fun
I've been on a roguelike binge these past few months so I gave Enter a Gungeon a shot. First off, the game's art design is pretty. I'm definitely the target audience for that. As for gameplay, the loop is definitely a blast but it's HARD. At least it's polished so every death is due to my lack of skills. I'm never good with these bullet hell games to begin with so the pace is pretty slow for me. I barely unlock stuff per run so it took a while before I can see progress but hey, I have not much complaint so it's all good. As for characters, I didn't unlock anyone so I just kept using either Hunter or Marine. Love the hunter's dog btw. I can't deny how fun each run was but after getting to the end once and getting 3/4 of the bullet ingredients, the loop isn't doing much for me anymore and I decided to move on. At least I had fun and I think this game is a bang for your buck even in 2025. 12 Hours and 20-ish Runs later, I give Enter the Gungeon a 4/5

Classic Roguelike
This is by far one of the best roguelikes that has come out. If you like these types of games, this one is a must.

Perfect Roguelite
nter The Gungeon is the ultimate roguelite. It's an extremely enjoyable game where you never get bored. Pros: - Enjoyable gameplay - Varied weapons - Enemy design - Soundtrack - Well-balanced difficulty - Good longevity with the number of weapons and passives to unlock Cons: - None so far It moves well, it shoots well, it's fun, and the difficulty is well-balanced. Enter The Gungeon is perfect. Pick it up now and enjoy yourself for many hours.
