Quest structure, branching like a spider's web and full of consequences for the player's actions, is very impressive; just like large, bustling cities, putting the settlements from Risen 2 and 3 to shame; the ambiguity and originality of the coldness mechanic; custom in-world alphabet that one can learn to read; or the vibrance and diversity of Magalan. Just damn boring!

And no, it is by far NOT like Gothic 1 or 2. It is not 1/10 of the first PB games. It is like the boring unmature and unwanted sister of gothic 1. And considering when Elex came out it has bad graphics (which i could live with). But PB tried to go new ways with the option to focus around ranged attacks. While this is a nice idea it has the worst handling and feeling for ranged combat you could ever imagen for. But the real problem of this game is, that it is just boring. I can't remember when i was last time so bored by a game. The quests are boring, the world is boring, the story is just annoying and boring and stupid. Maybe the worst game of PB, as i cannot compare it to Gotrhic 3 which i stopped playing after the Beginning due to the broken fight system. Wasted my money fo trash.

The game delivered on it's word

This game is exactly what i expected it to be. The things i expected of it was, a handmade open world that is full of loot and places of interest that are unique and i mean each and every one of them, a steep curved, clunky combat system with broken hit frames, but i managed to survive! A world full of interesting choices and consiquences and to my surprise an interesting protagonist that isn't just a talking puppet, but instead will take a stand and speak up acordingly to any situation that arises and make you reconsider the choises you make as you hear him. Overall the setting is very mature and the characters you face have their own ambitions and beliefs thus making the game feel alive and each interaction interesting. Thanks for this game Piranha Bites, i am looking forward to whatever game you are making next!

A great PB game!

I really enjoyed it. After some difficulty getting used to the oldschool challenge and frustration (and making the fights as easy as possible) I just loved every second. The atmosphere is great from the first moments on and the unique style of world creation, story telling and rpg, that only Piranha Bytes can create, next to the cool setting kept me going and I did not regret it! One of the best PB RPGs!
