Could've been mediocre....
But it's downgraded to terrible by the awful camera, really ruins the game experience.

Earthworm Jim, spineless superhero, wriggles back into action as the Groovy Guardian of Goodness in an incredible journey of cheese-curdling proportions. Left unconscious by a massive cow-induced blow to the head and clad in his indestructible, high-tech super suit, Earthworm Jim continues the battle for truth, justice and well aerated soil. He sure is going to need your help to guide him through his 3D fun-house of a brain.
But beware, the is an evil lurking, a presence in his mind, a dark unseen force at work - Jim's brain is a dangerous place! In the game you can enter Jim's psyche where he comes face to face with his own fears, happiness, memories and fantasies. Each environment has games-within-games, ludicrously large levels where you go wild pig-sliding, grandma wrangling and much more. You will face the weird enemies like Psycrow or the Disco Zombies. Explore any area you choose while keeping the trigger ready for action.

Just horrible
I love the Earthworm Jim series, I truly do. But EWJ 3D is the black sheep of the family. It did not take the transition from 2D platformer to 3D platformer well at. Sense of humor aside, this game combined all the worst of the worst. Glitchy controls, unimaginative gameplay, and a camera that seemed to actually want to be elsewhere. Stick to the first two. You can't go wrong with those. Unless you're one of those into self-inflicted punishment. In which case, you'll have a blast.

The 2nd worst game in the series.
This is the more complete version of the game with the missing OST from the N64 version, but that's about all it has going for it. That being said, I do admit I have a guilty pleasure with Jim 3D. I occasionally like to go back and enjoy its crazed messiness with my good friend Teddy from the Earthworm Jim server: The Jimcord. We have also just gotten word that people were able to make a possible widescreen fix, as well as working controls for the xbox series of controllers as out of the box as it were, some buttons do not work. Come say hi to me if you ever get interested in getting these fixes, and come to Retroplanet for a full review coming soon.

Bad game
I played it on the N64, and the only good thing I could say about the game back then was that the colors looked exceptionnaly good for a N64 game. Everything else was horrible, bad camera, bad controls, boring level design. This game was bad in 2000, considering how 3D games have evolved since then, and how even the greatest 3D games of this era are almost unplayable by today's standard, I can't think of how it must feel to play this game today.

Good, But Nothing Special
The Gameplay Is Good, But It Has Some Issues Like For Example The Awful Camera, But It's Overalll Quite Fun, AND Funny! But The Keyboard Control Is Terrible, And I Recommend A ControlPad, Obviously. But No One Can Say Its Better Than EWJ 1+2, Buy That If You Don't Have It. But If You Have 1+2 And Is An EWJ Fan That Want EVERYTHING Earthworm Jim, Then Buy This, But Don't Expect Much.
