A devolution of creative practices
You may know of stand-alone expansions or DLC that would evolve into its own game, effectively upgrading the worth and value of the content to stand on its own two legs. Dying Light - Hellraid is the total opposite of this proposition, as this DLC was originally going to be its own standalone game that was meant to release many years ago. That game's name is "Hellraid", which you can find lots of information about the game from over half a decade ago. So why is this a bad thing? Over the course of over half a decade, the unreleased original game went from absolutely no communication, to titbit info and videos then back to no communication for years. Despite the game having its own store page with "coming soon" on it, the devs continued to ignore the plea of us fans of wanting answers as to the fate of the game. Additionally, the game was meant to have multiple classes, playable characters and a structured open world as opposed to a straight dungeon crawler. To me, this way of treating your game and fans is a devolution of what it means to be a good faith practitioner because you are quite literally downgrading the experience and marketing whilst simultaneously STILL continuing to ignore the fate of the original, intended game. I will not be supporting this developer or game because of the above reasons and I advise people to look into the original Hellraid game before buying, and supporting, this kind of behaviour of game/DLC releases.
