It's an ok game.
Despite a few non-gamebreaking glitches the only thing that's changed is now it's 1440p. The story and visuals are still the same. If you have an older computer, I would save your money and NIOT buy this one. Stick with the complete edition.

Love the original, missed opportunity
As a remake it is the minimum passable improvement. Camera controls are not that better especially in case of mouse and keyboard. Graphics wise the difference to the original is nothing that you ll notice. On the bright side multiplayer works (even though it 'll take some time to have some good servers available made by players, though I am not sure if support for persistent worlds is in with this remake...). Also I had no crush or any major bug up to this point, interface seems to work ok for mouse controls (have not checked gamepad). It feels as clunky as the original and I m pretty sure there is a missed opportunity with this remake. In any case I do not think it does not worth the 20ish euros I paid as owner of the original in preorder, but paying 30ish after its release it kind of too much, unless it is the first time you play this and love old style crpgs. In any other case you 'll probably be dissappointed. 3/5 seems fair for now, unless there is continuous support and improvement in the future.

A bit low effort.
Sadly NW2 should have been treated better, Obsidion, (before Microsoft), were always stretched but they did have commitment to the things which mattered. This is just sad considering the number of people who could have helped, (probably for thanks and biccies).

Honestly, how long will they continue raise system requirements without adding actual improvements? Original game works flawlessly on a 20 years old hardware and looks the same.

Serious technical issues
I bought this since I actually enjoyed Aspyr's Kotor ports (disappointing lack of restored content aside) on Switch, and I had no absurd expectations like Oblivion Remastered. Unfortunately... I can't get it to run properly. My PC is more than adequate for the likes of BG3 or Cyberpunk 2077, yet I cannot get this to run smoothly. For some strange reason downloading, installing and even just starting this version seems to be far slower than it should be. I checked to see if GoG was the issue, but Cyberpunk 2077, a larger game according to GoG, took less than a quarter of the time to download and install. I lowered the settings to the lowest possible settings, yet it had absolutely no impact. I also have it on an SSD. I can only conclude that there is something severely wrong happening under the hood.
