JUST A HEADS UP
This is not based on the game itself, it is ONLY based on the current GOG version (1.05 GOG 0.8). It downloads, it installs, it launches the launcher, you can open the options window, BUT when you click the play button the launcher closes and nothing happens. Nothing happens when trying to launch directly from the exe. file. I'm on Windows 10, everything updated. It is not in working order despite being put on the new GoG preservation list with assurances of it running on Win 10/11 in the update history on the game's page. Don't want others to spend their hard earned money to endure disappointment and frustration.

DAO - Great but antiquated
I remember playing this game when first released and was impressed by the quality. However comparing the gameplay now to modern games it has aged. I do appreciate the tactical nature of this installment in comparison to the latest releases but is somewhat lacking in comparison to a game like BG3.

Darker than I remember
A great intro into the series. Lot's of reasons to replay. And a whole lot darker than I remember it being.
