There are few RPGs I'd dare to call essential, but Divinity: Original Sin 2 stands out among all others as deserving of that accolade. It's undoubtedly one of the best tactical and role-playing experiences you'll ever have on any platform.

Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition is so complex that I think everyone will find something to like, whether it's combat or an exciting story. The best thing I can say about it is that if I'm asked what I liked about it, I can't pinpoint something. It's the complete experience and the feeling of joy that it left behind.

Awesome local, 100% broken online
I really like this game. Mind you I've only played for around 2 to 3 hours (4 maybe but probably not). I will break this up into three parts, BAD, & GOOD && CONCLUSION. BAD: Well bad isn't sufficient: ENTIRELY BROKEN AND NOT WORKING ugly garbage bad. Yep that's more like it. Would you like to know WHY I love the game but I'm giving it 2 stars??? IT DOESN'T WORK IF MY COMPUTER IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!!! (stupid huh?) What I mean is it crashes, either before or right after the lyrian trojan looking soldier head shows up. So what this means for me is the stinking co-op play, which was the thing that finally convinced me to buy it... That is the thing I will never have. Also before you think I just gave up too easily, or can't solve technical problems: I'm an IT person by profession. I've spent countless hours fixing problems in Windows. I've now moved on to programming... so it's not what I currently do all the time but the point is I know my way around regedit and the windows policy garbage tools, event viewer, command line, etc... AND I've spent probably 10+ hours attempting to fix errors that show up in event viewer using various guides from other people that have fixed them (and I did fix most of them... ), plus implementing my own ideas, however the game just doesn't run... still... Let me finish the bad off by stating: It is ridiculous, stupid, asinine, and lazy, to require ANY part of your game (particularly when released on GOG) to require some connection to a server or the internet @ large before it will run. Find that code, and kill that code. Done... fixed... no more problems. GOOD: - great rpg system - good graphics - great environment & atmosphere - amusing jokes - interesting magic & combat - fun story - interesting & fun characters (reminds me of fallout 2, but probably with more depth) CONCLUSION: If you want to play a really good single player RPG then definitely buy this game! If you want online or co-op buy something else.

Larian Studios has done it again
Ive been Alpha testing this game for a while after playing the First Original Sin, they have gone above and beyond AGAIN. didnt think Story let alone gameplay could be beaten, refined and improved, they just showed they can.
