Die By the Bloody sword.

This Game is awesome. Not only a great game with incredible, But clumsy controls that make sense. you have to learn how to fight rather than point and click. They damage where you hit and the damage will be lighter or heavyer depending on how you swing your sword with the 1-9 numbers on the keyboard. This will be frustrating to new players who are used to not need to learn controls since most games use the same. When i first got this it was one of the first games i got on computer, not counting the old Amiga computer games. I recommend it and hope you like a good action adventure game. Limbs will be lost, Blood will be spilt and you will Twist in unnatural positions that would kill a normal man before mastering the control... But you will definitely enjoy it. It have great graphics for its age and still provides a challenge and good time. Play the game and enjoy the story. Good luck.

Difficulty went out of my gauge.

If you are an experienced nettles slayer, you can try to survive this game ;) P.S.1) I chose DirectX at the first launch and the game ran on vertical resolution with broken pink colors. I couldn't switch it back to other options (different settings was ignored). Fortunately I was able to fix this issue using the Xtended mod. P.S.2) Mukor mode doesn't work.

A game for fans of action

The spirit of “Die by the sword” lies on his control system. Any other side of the game is a bit poor. The story is just simple: hero's girlfriend is kidnapped, and taken into a great dungeon under the control of a powerful sorcerer. Our avatar has to follow the great quest to find, liberate her and defeat the evil sorcerer. Also his inventory is just poor, along his way the hero will find some power up and potions of healing. He can also take some part of his victims and use them as a weapon, but nothing will be as useful as his sword. So the core of the game lies in the fighting system and in particular in the complex system of using the sword. The one who will dominate this control system of the sword, will prove great satisfactions for realism of fighting and the spectacular duels that will be granted. Novices of action games will find this one difficult and a bit frustrating.

The most fun you can have with a numpad!

This is a great game and a must-buy for anyone who really loves swordplay or action games in general. The only gripes I have about it are that it really hasn't aged well and can get kind of buggy. Being able to crank up the resolution would have been great, as would being able to enable 3d acceleration without an external program (Glide Wrapper) and putting it into Windows 98 compatibility mode, which of course causes problems with detecting save games. All in all, though, it's worth it, especially if you can find a friend to play online with. This is a steal at six bucks.

Lot of old-school FUN

Just like others - I played it as a kid. I dont think I ever finished it though - till now. There is this one bug forcing you to move mouse in order to get menu roll down but other then that game worked perfectly on win10. Is it bit junky? Sure it is. Is it amazingly entertaining to play? ABSOLUTELY. Glad I found it, I had great time playing. Played it without any mod - great game! Thank you GoG!
