It give a boost but..
Lots of bugs, like alt+tab crush game, couldn't fix that...

Diablo 1 HD Mod (Belzebub)

The mod is fully playable in English. For other supported languages, localization is partial: while all UI elements remain in English, lore documents and quest content are translated.
Belzebub, or Diablo I HD Mod, is a complex modification for the first installment of the Diablo series, which introduces a number of interesting improvements to the gameplay, a lot of new content and - most importantly - increased resolution.
Belzebub enriches the cult Diablo series with a real mass of intriguing content, presenting it all in HD resolution. The modification adds new locations, missions, spells, skills and monsters, 204 unique items, 170 crafting recipes, several new character classes (Warrior, Sorcerer, Rogue, Necromancer or Barbarian), 28 sets and 105 set items, four difficulty levels available in the single player mode, as well as a host of other gameplay improvements. The developer has also thought of a few additions in terms of interface, support for widescreen, and - as we have already mentioned - full integration with the new Windows systems. There is no denying that there is a lot to it, so every fan of the series, especially of the ‘one’, will undoubtedly not pass by this modification indifferently.

Welcome to Diablo 1.5
The mod introduces many mechanics from Diablo 2 into the original game. Makes the game more dynamic and more fun to play. More monsters/items/quests introduce more variety into the original experience, while several quality of life improvements make the game less tedious. The game might be difficult or straight up unfair at times (when the monsters are just the type that counter everything you can do), but I guess that's the charm of old-school Action-RPGs. For the price of "free" I can heartily recommend giving this mod a try.

4.5 d1 mod
pretty good, except i cant get cutscenes to work unless on certain resolutions (had to switch resolution setting one after the other to find one that didnt make the hud to small and still fill out a decent section of screen) othe then that, i find it to be pretty good (would give 4.5 if i could)(

Best D1 Mod
After having tried Devilution X and The Hell 3, I can confidently say that this mod strikes happy medium between the 2. Getting to experience content that was cut from the game is amazing and I'm enjoying leveling my Necro up in the amazing D1 atmosphere.
