I have played it with every character also with the expansion back in the days. The game is quite good, but it has several flaws, which were fixed/changed in Diablo 2. So maybe it is good as a start, but sequel is much better for long play. CONS - the characters are moving very slow, in expansion the speed was increased - small number of items and their variations - no respawn. I had several problems to kill the bosses, because my character was weak or have terrible equipment. So mostly no grinding is possible.

Finally it is possible to buy this fantastic game! For a long time you could buy only old discs on various Internet sites (and that was about 50$, as far as i remember). Of course this game is not for everyone. First of all, for those who played it before. But also it has a historical value. That's how it's all began!

Very happy to see this DRM-free, to relive memories. ...and very happy I don't have to get a phone to play it ;-)

Bought it just for collection and after reading review by BleepBI00p and others was aware of clunckiness and stuff etc ,but instead i found it very playable and satisfying.The only minus that there is no actual hd version and this mode with "new resolution support" is only picture with black left and right borders, so i played classic one

A classic masterpiece. The dark atmosphere, the sound effects, the incredible soundtrack, the gritty graphical style, the unique personalities of NPCs, the BUTCHER, the core gameplay loop--it's all still great. If you allow yourself to be fully absorbed in this game, and ignore the fact that Diablo 2 improved upon it in some (but not all) ways, it'll grab you.
