I have tried to purchase this game 3 times tonight. Everytime I go to install this game it does nothing, does not show up in my library and only in my order history. Pretty disappointing because I was really looking forward to play this again after so many years.

A little over twenty years ago, before Diablo II had been released, Diablo I was pretty hot stuff. But the thing is, even with nostalgia applied it's not a very good game. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad either, but seeing as how Diablo II is still readily available both online and through retailers, I see no reason WHATSOEVER to buy or play Diablo I. The inventory system, for starters, was vastly improved in D2, with the removal of gold as a physical item and instead being carried in a separate wallet, meaning you wouldn't have to fill half your inventory with your accrued riches, OR leave it lying around on the ground in the village above. Either "solution" being a real pain in the pancake, I'd say. Then there's the potion quick-use system, which was also improved in D2, letting you carry a greater variety of the nifty li'l buggers. And of course the massive improvement of item variety in general. And the greater variety of locales to fight in, stronger story, more interesting characters, etc... Basically, what I'm saying here is this: don't buy into the hype for Diablo I. If you GENUINELY want to get it and play it, go for it. But don't kid yourself. While historically significant, D1 just isn't a very good nor fun game to play. Especially not since D2 did literally EVERYTHING that D1 did and better, in every single way.

Of course it's an awesome game! but, we all know we actually want Diablo 2 remake!
