D1 was the first game I ever played on pc. I still remember the moment when I saw a square area on lvl2 and since I had killed pretty everything on the way with ease, I thought "ok, what can happen if open the door" and then "ahhh fresh meat...". And how I avoided this guy until I got a "sword of the bear", and how pleased I was when I finally managed to kill him. Then there was Leoric, Chamber of bones, Griswald's edge, the mage whose concentration I've broken, and many more. Though I don't play original D1, I still play one of the fans add-on.

You know a great game when you haven't seen and played it for decades then one day you see it on GOG and boom! Goosebumps all over you and decided to write a review for the first time ever, Diablo is that game for me. Gamers that started post 2010 might not get what I'm saying here but this is one of the games that defined my PC gaming days.

Yes Diablo is still fun to play...although I didn't buy it here because I already had the game on CD. I also installed the Diablo 1 HD Mod beelzebub that allows the game to run in modern resolutions and adds content to the game too. So I'd say if you really want to buy this game wait until it's on sale for about half of what it's selling for now or if you have the game already and it won't run and looks like crap download the Diable HD Mod and you'll love it.

This is a classic worth playing. It might not have the story depth of its sequels or later classics of the genre, but it is incredibly fun. The core gameplay of clicking everything still works, and the RPG mechanics are solid and will allow for different playstyles using an array of different gear for the character classes. It's also a very easy game to drop in and out of for a quick session, and overall it is not terribly long, so there is a lot replayability with the randomness of level design, assigned quests, and the character classes. It's nice for when you want to take a break from a more "hands on" type of game and just mindlessly click some things to death!

The game that started a Genre from the simple concept of "Hey, let's take Rogue and just make everything real-time!" Incredibly solid old-school game. Furthermore, has a fanmade 'conversion/update/modernization' patch called Belzebub which is pretty high up there on the list of best things ever. If the vanilla classic is maybe a bit too rough for you to play, then rolling up Belzebub, instead, is an excellent way to experience this classic game with just the right sprinkle of extra QOL and gameplay depth added.
