This was my first rpg/arpg game; always liked it.

it is still a fun and interesting game that defined a genre and a generation of gamers, with incredibly atmospheric music and visuals. while it is a much slower pace game than modern action RPGs it's all the more tactical for it, every enemy of an equal level is a potential threat not to be disregarded

Diablo is a great adition to Good Old Games collection. Great game, great to see GOG have manage to take Blizzard down from the high tree they've climbed on! hopefully, the Hellfire expansion will come soon as well (almost any Sierra/Inteplay game had arrived to GOG, so there is a good chance).

I remember when I played it in 1997 and it was remarkable. This Game doesn't have a really good story or ton's of lovely story cutscenes like Diablo 2 and other Games in that time had and what Blizzard became famous for but this game has really shown how addictive it can be to loot items, without to pay for it like in the newer days :) Pro's - The beginning of the Diablo franchise - Graphic effects (for 1996/97) - Soundeffects and Music - Kow Level :) - loot item innovation / Upgrade System - Only "1 more hour" to play effect :) Con's - Story - Main Character It's a must-have in any Action-RPG collection!

Mega atmospheric game, one of the best soundtracks for games, for 1996 - excellent gameplay. This is one of the few games because of which something shrinks inside. To the collection - definitely.
