Devil May Cry 4让玩家沉醉于哥德式的超自然世界之中；体验一个新主角与熟悉的英雄发生冲突的故事。玩家将操作新主角Nero，利用游戏独特的新系统-强大的「恶魔之手」释放令人难以置信的攻击和不间断的连续技。
在大陆沿岸的城塞都市Fortuna，与周围国家都拥有一段距离，这条街有着与其他不同的文化和独立的宗教信仰。这个称为魔剑教团的宗教组织，推崇以前曾为人类而战的恶魔魔剑士Sparda为神，以驱除其他恶魔作为教义。可是在魔剑祭的日子中，突然出现的谜之男子Dante把教皇杀掉，同时在各地出现恶魔群。Nero被捲入事件并受教团之命追寻Dante，随着Nero接近Dante，教团的真正目的也开始明确。

三个可操作角色
- Vergil是非常强大的技术型角色，所以新手也可以轻鬆使用。经验丰富的老手更能在掌握他的动作时进一步提高技能，适合任何人使用。
- Lady, 首次可以操作的角色，专门使用远距离及强力的攻击。利用Kalina Ann火箭发射器、钩绳和令人敬畏的枪械，使她可以优雅且轻鬆地进行战斗。
- Trish利用恶魔之剑Sparda进行各种攻击组合，Sparda同时可以配合她的攻击，自动向敌人进行攻击。

It was a true pleasure to return to Capcom's world of jacked up angels, plant dragons, and Dante hamming up every single delicious scene he's in. Truly, it's good to be back. It's better to be back than it ever was.

Works great
Game plays perfect, when the game first launched I had to tweak some settings to get it into full screen, but after that it plays like butter. Love the port, thank you GoG for what you do!

Excellent game, runs perfectly on modern systems. Very fun and action-packed, with lots of laughs thanks to Dante and nero. If you like killing demons, this is your game.

Good port of the game but I can be better. It needs a few patches, in order for it to be great.

Cannot Start the game
I haven't been able to figure out how to start the game without crashing and it's seriously frustrating me to no end. The fact this is still an issue with people even months after this realsed should embarass every single person who worked on getting this on GOG. I refuse to play this if it means I have to use a confusing Hex editor.
