The game won't start when I run the .exe on the disk or through gog galaxy.

Twenty years after the events depicted in the multi-award-winning Deus Ex, the world is just beginning to recover from The Collapse. Deus Ex: Invisible War features the open-ended gameplay of its predecessor: use multi-tools and trickery to get past your opponents, or just turn their technology against them as you hack their turrets and computer systems. Along with bio-mods and choices that let you mould your character as you desire, take advantage of the numerous ways to customize your weaponry whether it’s to increase their rate of fire or clip capacity. Last but not least, take advantage of the various factions, such as the Omar who have the only black-market bio-mods, to further your aims.
Who should you trust? Who should you fight? Every decision you make affects the world around you. A good choice for RPG and action fans alike!

Can't even get it to play. Stops right when you create the portrait and select start game. Reverts all my desktop settings to default when I close it out.

Not for claustrophobic people
In my memories this game lived as a mediocre, but enjoyable game with a few good moments. That was from the time it was released. Last year I thought I give it another go, to relive the good parts and to see the four endings again. It did not go well this time. The levels are small at best and all the places were so tight I had to stop playing pretty soon. I just couldn't breath. If you have problems with tight spaces I wouldn't recommend this game. Otherwise, if you like conspiracies and don't mind simple game-play, you might actually find it to your liking.
