Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

The original Deus Ex has the same problem that almost any classic of a given genre does: it was so influential and paradigm-shifting that it's almost impossible to experience it as a pure product in isolation, because your experience will almost certainly be tainted by comparisons to newer, shinier, more streamlined experiences that owe their own existence to a titanic ancestor. Deus Ex takes a fair bit of work to get running nicely on modern systems, a fair bit of patience to discover the intricacy and depth of its systems, and a fair bit of creativity to get the most out of your time with the game. But if you're willing to give it all these things, Deus Ex has a fair shot of being the best game you play this year, even 25 years later.

never played as a kid was a MGS player but this is awesome! hard getting used to the m&k but still fun!

The only problem is that is unplayable un modern sistem and gog doest have communy board like steam so you will have to look for the fix in internet. I use the vanilla fix and it goes smooth.

Wanna see for yourself why is this game regarded, multiple times, as one of the, if not THE, best games ever made?, even after it's excellent 2011 prequel was released?. Well, this was, along with System Shock, one of the first titles to combine multiple genres, something very common with today's games. This title combined RPG elements into an FPS game, upgrading and improving your character's stats over the course of the game. Also, it was heralded for having multiple choices to progress to a single level, wich also had multiple routes; want to cruise through a level undetected?, guns blazing?, it was all your choice. The only downside I could give to this game is the dated graphics and the somewhat clunky UI, but this is a 2000 game using the first Unreal engine, it can also be played with HD resolutions natively and, if you know how to tinker with your graphics card drivers, you can add extra eye candy by adding antialiasing and texture filters, making the game somewhat less dated and a bit more pleasing to the eye. I already have this game in Steam, but there's absolutely no reason not to buy the GOG version, wich includes it's excelent soundtrack, along with all the extra GOG treats you get, especially if you're somewhat paranoid with DRM, wich this release has absolutely none, zilch, nein. So, what the heck are you waiting for!?, BUY IT!.
