The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.

  • Real role-playing from an immersive 3D, first-person perspective. The game includes action, character interaction and problem solving. 
  • Realistic, recognizable locations. Many of the locations are built from actual blueprints of real places set in a near future scenario.

An excellent but dated game

Deus Ex is deemed a classic of PC gaming by many and rightfully so. It is a very well crafted game which lets you pieve together what is happening behind the curtains and how did we get heres. Gameplay wise, stealth is what is intended for the most part. You aim and wait for the reticle to be small enough so that you hit your intended target. You also have various skills and upgrades, all of them are good and offer different options to deal with what's in front of you. Also, stay out of the ladies bathroom, it embarasses the agency more than it does you.

Fully deserves its legendary status

Played it for the first time in 2025, so no nostalgia involved. A must-play for any FPS RPG fan. Cons: - Dialogue often starts when combat starts. Really annoying. - LOUD music. Even if it's awesome. - Story drags on a bit towards the end. - A bit buggy, even with community patch. - Some crashing. - Worst ladders I have ever encountered in my almost 40 years of gaming. Pros: - Basically everything else. - Deep, satisfying RPG elements are the star of the show. - Multiple ways of getting the job done. - Interesting setting, shady characters. - Tons of hidden stuff to find. - Decent combat, satisfying stealth kills. - Good level recycling that doesn't feel tedious. - Interesting locales. - Decent weapon variety and feedback. - Decent balancing. - Ham and cheese voiceacting. Definitely coming back to this for a replay in a few years.
