I've only spent a few hours playing this game but I am completely enthralled by the sound track. I've played it over and over again because of the mood it sets. Truly skilled composing. The game itself has great mechanics and provides a rich story that propels you through the missions. I like the fact that there are extra perks for doing the mission a certain way because it provides replayability. Often times, though, I move on to the next mission because I want to find out what happens next! Definitely recommend purchasing this title.

The game adds very little to an already winning formula. It is extremely similar to Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, just in a different setting. I do have one personal complaint – it is disappointing that you can easily surprise someone that is alerted and has a gun, only with your fist, just because they just came around a corner. https://pixelloot.com

Being a big fan of the Commandos series and this style of game (RTT), I just love this title. For the people that only played this game I also recommend Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, it is almost the same game (some improvements in Desperados III). The graphics are awesome, the voice acting is good, the story, although classic, it is good. I just love that RTT is making a (slow) comeback and I'm waiting for more titles in this genre.

A long time has passed since the masterpiece "Commandos". Desperados III does come with new innovations to this original concept, as well as great graphics and sound. The issue is just that the overall plot and dialog is absurdly bad. This could be compensated with great level design, but to me all levels felt more like work and not fun. No mission was particularly difficult or challenging, just tedious to complete. With great story telling and better level design, Desperados III could have been a new masterpiece. As it stands, I will forget about it quickly after completion.

Some fun in the Western setting, yet it feels kind of too much of a copy of Shadow Tactics than its own franchise. Missions are well constructed an diverse, yet in the beginning feel like you can solve them with just own character from time to time. Achievements and medals offer 50+ hours of nice entertainment.
